FAQs

How do I know if this will fit my bike?
This kit is designed to work with 26x4 fat tire ebikes. The front motor uses a 135mm dropout width.

Does the kit have regenerative braking?
No, it does not have this feature.

Will I have to do any cutting, splicing, or soldering?
Connections between the controller, harness, motor, throttle, and display all match perfectly. The controller uses an XT60 battery connector, you may need an adapter depending on what connector your battery uses.

Can I connect the kit to my bike’s existing battery pack?
It is recommended that you use a separate battery pack to power this kit. The battery used should have a BMS rated to handle the 40a draw from the controller.

Can I use a 48v or 60v Battery to power the 52v front motor kit?
It is not recommended. Although using a 48v battery would work, the kit would be much less powerful.  Using a 60v battery would over-volt the system.  Overvolting would increase the power; however, it would also increase the heat and wear on the gears and motor windings. Using a Battery larger than 52v is not advised and would void the warranty.

Can I connect to my existing throttle so I only have 1 throttle?
This kit is designed to operate using a separate throttle, this will limit and unintended activation of the front motor.

Does the kit have pedal assist?
Although the kit has a plug for a pedal assist sensor, a sensor is not included.  It is recommended that you do not connect the front motor kit to pedal assist, this will avoid unintended activation of the front motor.

Do you ship outside the USA?
At this time we are only shipping to the lower 48 States.
